What is the lightning’s use for the cloud? / And the cloud’s purpose for the lightning? / The cloud exists for the sake of the cloud / And the lightning is sparked in the storm.
If it were not the case that the cause of the lightning / Were drawn through the drafts of the cloud, / Then perhaps the cloud would give forth its ways / And drift wherever it wills.
But the truth of the matter after the pass of the storm / Is the electric drain that it was. / There was a love that exists in the storm / Between the light and the mist,
But it is not so fit if the love that it was / Felt the imbalancing force that it draws / Was the power that kept the life in the weather / That parted with the wind of the seasons.
A spirit unfolds in the webwork of dreams / That transist and form and devolve, / The glassy air what calls me to see / Starsparks are diamonds’ transpire—
Feel how free this green meadowed spring breeze becomes / When it draws out itself from those ocean deeps. / It is what what water would want when a sun
That flushed forth the liquid stones in original heat / Created the drumming humming song of the dreaming spacetime / A cosmos of cosmos alive is a fire, / A shock deludes, a shadow’s jewel glow—
Passing, passing, desert stars sage rage and shore / Granite gates and breaks: unshear / Their brackes and wakes are cool to touch, / Its fiery surface is made of ice and sand, and I understand / What it it is that I needed to know.
